Valentine's Day is right around the corner! Stumped on what to get or make for work, a friend or significant other? Since it's not usually anyones favorite holiday to celebrate and certainly not the easiest to pick out thoughtful presents for, I have a sweet go-to that is perfect for the occasion. No one can turn away candy, right?
- Preheat oven to 200°. (If your oven runs hot you may want to turn the temp down to 170°)
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and arrange pretzels on sheet
- Unwrap Hershey's Hugs and center 1 on the top of each pretzel
- Bake for 4-5 minutes until chocolate is shiny and soft but not melting off of the pretzels (they should still be holding their shape when you remove them from the oven)
- Remove from oven and gently place an M&M in the center of each hug - be careful not to press M&M too hard
- Place cookie sheet in refrigerator for 5-10 minutes to allow chocolate to set
- Store in airtight container
- 1 package M&M's (Valentine's colors)
- 1 package Hershey's Hugs
- 1 package square pretzels
The best part about this sweet treat is that it can be altered to fit any holiday, game day, birthday, etc. I've made them using orange and black M&M's for Halloween & red and green M&M's for Christmas. They would be the perfect addition to match the colors of your favorite football team for game day or personalized for a birthday - the possibilities are endless! So easy to make and so delicious they are guaranteed to get eaten!
