One of my favorite things about the holidays (besides seeing family & stuffing ourselves with great food) is shopping and picking out gifts for those I love. I can't even deny it. My second favorite thing is making elaborate lists of my own wish list, which include everything from very affordable accessories to things that I know I'll never see in my lifetime (example: this) … yeah, exactly. A girl can wish, right? But even with my detailed wish list and making lists for gift ideas for others, even I have to stop and remember that I am still newly graduated from college and my piggy bank isn't as fat as I'd love for it to be. That being said, I've come up with a gift guide for those looking to spend no more than $40 {for her} while still managing to give a thoughtful and affordable gift. Mind you, half of these items come from my newest favorite store, Tuckernuck.
Plaid Scarf | Tortoise Bangles | Plaid Shirt | Sunburst Earrings | Monogram Necklace | Key Fob | iPhone Case | Turquoise Necklace | Coaster Set
One of my top favorite things on this list is the plaid flannel. Besides sitting around in your PJ's, I think a warm flannel is just about the next best thing you could wear. They are one of my favorite things to pair with a vest, jeans and boots. #basic. But I don't care. This L.L. Bean flannel is the jackpot. I also have a soft spot for turquoise - summer or not, I will wear turquoise year-round because I just love the color so much. Naturally, I fell in love with these sunburst earrings and the geometric turquoise necklace from a shop I found on Etsy (which is a great place to find unique and affordable jewelry). Although an item I'd have to convince myself to splurge on, these hot pink coasters are something that I find so unique and interesting. I love how different they are to typical coasters and the pop of color they would add to a boring coffee or side table. I'm also a sucker for a good monogram so the gold name plate necklace was a no-brainer on my list.
